Fort Lauderdale-based Spirit Airlines has posted an 18.6% increase in traffic in June compared to a year earlier.
The carrier's capacity grew 19.8%, resulting in a 0.8 percentage point decline in its load factor to 86.1%.
In guidance for the second quarter ending 30 June, Spirit estimates that its total revenue per available seat mile grew by around 7% year-on-year.
It forecasts that its total revenue for the quarter grew about 25% on a capacity increase of 16.5% and traffic growth of 15.1%.
The airline's cost per available seat mile is estimated to be between 10.24 cents and 10.29 cents, in line with earlier guidance, it says.
