Spirit Airlines will add new nonstop flights from Chicago O’Hare International and Minneapolis-St. Paul International airports to Baltimore-Washington, Houston Intercontinental and Oakland from 1 May.
The Miramar, Florida-based low-cost carrier will fly once daily between Chicago and Oakland, Minneapolis and Baltimore, and Minneapolis and Houston, it says. The Minneapolis flights will be seasonal with service ending on 1 November.
Spirit already serves all five cities.
No airlines fly between Chicago O’Hare and Oakland but Southwest Airlines flies between Chicago Midway and Oakland, Innovata schedules show.
Delta Air Lines offers flight on the Minneapolis-Baltimore route and both Delta and United Airlines fly the Minneapolis-Houston route, according to Innovata.
