The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved SR Technics' narrowbody base maintenance hangar in Malta to service Airbus A320 and current-generation Boeing 737 aircraft.

Both types are already supported at the site under its existing certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

SR Technics has serviced around 60 aircraft at the two-bay hangar since its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations began in September 2011. The vast majority of have been A320-family aircraft operated by British low-cost carrier EasyJet.

With the new approval, SR Technics hopes it will be able to expand its client base to operators of N-registered aircraft.
