SR Technics is to acquire a 60% stake in Israel Aircraft Industries’ (IAI) US-based airframe maintenance subsidiary Empire Aero Center, for an undisclosed sum. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of July. Under the agreement, both companies will provide airframe services to US customers at the centre. SR Technics chairman Frank Turner says the plan provides an “excellent platform” for providing integrated services to airlines in the USA.
