SriLankan Airlines today concluded codeshare agreements with two Oneworld carriers, as it became an official member of the alliance.
Its two new partners are Finnair and Russia's S7 Airlines.
Starting 15 May, S7 will place its code on SriLankan operated services from Colombo to Moscow Domodedovo and Bangkok. SriLankan will meanwhile place its code on S7's services from Moscow Domodedovo to Chelyabinsk, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, St Petersburg, Volgograd and Yekaterinburg. This will add six key Russian cities to the Sri Lankan flag carrier's network.
From 2 June, Finnair will also place its code on services operated by SriLankan from Colombo to Bangkok, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London Heathrow, Paris and Rome. In return, SriLankan will place its code on connecting services operated by Finnair from Helsinki to Frankfurt, London Heathrow, Paris, Rome, Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm.
SriLankan became an official member of Oneworld in a joining ceremony held at Mattala today.
