Singapore Technologies Aerospace (ST Aero) is winding up its
former UK-based maintenance subsidiary Bournemouth Aviation Services (BASCO),
just over a year after it closed.
ST Aero says in a stock exchange announcement that it has begun
a voluntary winding up of BASCO, which was a joint venture with FR Aviation
Singapore-headquartered ST Aero owned 81% of Bournemouth
International Airport-based BASCO, which provided airframe support with two
hangars capable of accommodating two widebody and three narrowbody aircraft.
It announced late in 2006 that the company would close by
the end of that year as a result of continuing losses.
