Pratt & Whitney Canada has designated StandardAero's site in Winnipeg, Canada as a PW100 overhaul facility.

The site had previously serviced the turboprop engine but only offered limited maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities. StandardAero also supports PW100 engines at its overhaul shop in Tilburg in the Netherlands.

While the OEM approval allows the company to "move people and resources" throughout the Winnipeg site, it will not compromise the position of the Dutch sister facility, says StandardAero vice-president turboprop programmes Manny Atwal: "The European Service Center team in Tilburg continues to support our customers with PW100 and PT6A hot-section level work scopes, including full accessory capability, a comprehensive test cell, and substantial field service support."

Both locations have processed over 3,000 PW100 engines over the past 15 years.
