Lima-based Star Peru has acquired a single BAe 146-200 aircraft, bringing its total of the type to nine.
BAE Systems says the latest aircraft was delivered at the end of January.
The carrier was founded as a charter operator in 1997, supplying air services to remote jungle airstrips to support oil exploration companies.
Star Peru expanded into scheduled flights in 2004, and uses its BAe 146-100s/200s/300s offering 77-to-112 seats on a Peruvian domestic market encompassing 15 destinations.
The carrier also launched international flights to Rio Branco in Brazil in September 2010.
