Russian low-cost start-up Dobrolet is to operate Superjet 100s alongside Boeing 737-800s after parent company Aeroflot sought approval for a sublease contract.
An Aeroflot document says the Superjet 100 aircraft (MSN 95041) sublease transaction could be approved at a meeting of the board of directors in the next week.
According to Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database, the 2013-vintage aircraft is on lease from VEB-Leasing.
The Aeroflot subsidiary is gearing up towards launch after recently picking Moscow Sheremetyevo airport for its launch of operations, its parent company base.
Dobrolet earlier this month received its first Boeing 737-800 aircraft in a single-class layout. According to Ascend, the aircraft is on lease from BBAM.
