Kevin Steele has resigned from his position as managing director and chief executive of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

He resigned owing to medical reasons, and will leave the airline in three to four weeks time, says an official from his office.

Biman’s director for customer service A M Mosaddique Ahmed will take on Steele’s role in an acting position, until a new chief is named.

Steele joined Biman in March 2013, and was formerly the senior vice-president for commercial at Nigerian carrier Arik Air.
