Irish budget carrier Ryanair plans to base a fifth aircraft at its new Budapest base, following strong demand for flights in the wake of the collapse of Hungarian flag carrier Malev.

Ryanair recently announced that it would base four aircraft at Budapest and open 31 routes on 17 February.

However, strong demand has prompted its decision to base a fifth aircraft at the airport from 26 March and open a new route to Tampere as well as 21 additional frequencies.
