German-Turkish leisure carrier SunExpress will begin flights from Denmark, Finland and France as part of its summer 2014 schedule.

Starting in April, the Lufthansa-Turkish Airlines joint venture will conduct weekly flights from Copenhagen, Helsinki, Lyon, Nantes and Paris Charles de Gaulle airport to its Izmir hub.

From Amsterdam, the airline will open a route to Kayseri. It already operates from the Dutch capital to Izmir.

SunExpress will also begin flights from the German cities of Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart to Alanya. These are additional to its services from Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Leipzig/Halle.

Capacity is to be expanded by about 40,000 seats a week, says the Boeing 737 operator.
