Swedish civil aviation administration LFV is to take over ground operations at five airports from SAS Group handling division SAS Ground Services.
The services will be transferred at Ronneby, Angelholm-Helsingborg, Lulea, Are-Ostersund and Kiruna.
LFV will also take over de-icing services from SAS Group's technical services division at Skelleftea.
The changes will take effect from 1 February next year, with LFV's acquiring equipment and personnel from SAS Group.
SAS Group says around 70 employees are affected, adding that the change is part of an organisational restructuring of the company.
"As a result of the decline of airline volumes it is currently not possible for [SAS Ground Services] to conduct ground services in smaller airports cost-efficiently," it states.
LFV's airports section believes it will be able to operate the business economically, adding: "It is a great advantage for us to be able to offer proprietary ground services to all airlines."
