Taiwan's TransAsia Airways have started flights to Fuzhou and Xiamen in south-eastern China.

It operates a once-weekly service between Taichung and Fuzhou, and twice-weekly flights between Taichung and Xiamen, says a TransAsia spokeswoman.

The carrier is using Airbus A321s on the routes, she adds.

TranAsia is the only carrier operating on the Fuzhou route, but it will compete against Taiwan's UNI Air on the Xiamen route, shows Innovata.
