Taiwanese carrier Mandarin Airlines, a subsidiary of China Airlines, plans to add a Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet by June.

The aircraft will be based in Taichung, and deployed on existing services to destinations including Macau and Ho Chi Minh City, says its spokesman.

The 737 will have 158 seats in a two-class configuration.

Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows that Mandarin Airlines operates eight Embraer 190 aircraft.

Taichung is located in the central region of Taiwan.
