Brazil's TAM and South African Airways (SAA) have implemented a codeshare agreement for travel from 2 September.
SAA will place its code on TAM's flights from Sao Paulo to Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Brasília, Salvador, Florianopolis, Iguaçu Falls, Recife and Belo Horizonte.
In return, TAM will place its code on SAA's flights between Sao Paulo and Johannesburg, and to other cities within South Africa, including Cape Town, Durban, East London and Port Elizabeth.
"Together with South African Airways we will make travelling between Brazil and South Africa easier, and the countries will be the gateway of the South American and African continents," says Soledad Berrios, LATAM Airlines Group senior vice president strategic alliances. TAM is a subsidiary of LATAM.
