TAM sells another 777-300ER to lessor

TAM Linhas Aereas, part of LATAM group, has sold a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to operating lessor Fly Leasing, sources indicate.

The aircraft is expected to be delivered in December, Flightglobal’s Ascend online database shows.

The transaction marks the second time this year the Brazilian carrier sells a new Boeing 777-300ER delivery to the US lessor under a sale and leaseback transaction.The first aircraft (MSN 40589) closed at the end of July.

TAM also sold a new 777-300ER at the end of August to Avolon Aerospace under a sale and leaseback transaction.

In 2014, TAM has one more 777-300ER delivery scheduled in June.

Fly Leasing declined to comment.
