Romanian airline Tarom carried 2.19 million passengers in 2011, against a similar number the prior year.
The carrier said it maintained passenger numbers despite a 9% capacity reduction on international services due to the closure of routes to Zurich, Riga, Valencia and Bari.
On domestic services, however, it recorded a 6% rise in passenger numbers on 3% growth in capacity, it said.
Load factor on international services stood at 61%, flat against the year before, while on internal routes load factor rose by two percentage points to 69%.
Tarom grew its share of domestic traffic by 7% to 84% of the market, it said.
