Belgian-Dutch maintenance provider Tec4Jets is building up capabilities to support Embraer 170/190 aircraft as parent carrier Jetairfly introduces the regional jets to its fleet.
Belgium's CAA has approved the MRO subsidiary of tour operator TUI to perform line maintenance and AOG support for the type at its facility in Brussels. This is to be extended to light base maintenance early next month.
The company does not provide C-checks or heavy maintenance.
Tec4Jets is based at Brussels and Amsterdam, where it respectively supports TUI's Belgian branch Jetairfly and Dutch subsidiary Arkefly.
Jetairfly is introducing Embraer 190s to its fleet. But Tec4Jets says that it has also won a third-party contract from Spanish leisure carrier Air Europa for its Embraer 195s.
