Thai Airways passenger traffic up 4% in May

Thai Airways International's passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, increased by 3.9% year on year in May.

Its capacity, as measured in ASKs, rose by 12% for the month, while its total passenger numbers rose by 5.9% to 1.68 million.

The carrier's passenger load factor fell by 7.2 percentage points to 66.4%.

Thai Smile recorded international and domestic load factors of 69.7% and 68.8% respectively.

Thai Airways' cargo traffic, as measured in revenue freight tonne kilometres, decreased by 4.7%, while capacity as measured in available dead tonne kilometres, rose by 2.2% and cargo load factor dropped by 6.8 percentage points year on year to 52.1%.
