Thai Airways International is in talks with BOC Aviation to lease Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The Star Alliance carrier had said in June that it plans to add eight 777s to its fleet and will take them through operating leases.

A BOC Aviation spokeswoman confirms that it is in discussions with the carrier, but adds that an agreement has not been signed yet.

Thai plans to lease the aircraft as part of its fleet development plan over the next five years, during which it will retire 25 aircraft and add 24.
