Thai Airways' subsidiary Thai Smile plans to launch three new services from Phuket, starting April.
It will operate a four times weekly Phuket-Kuala Lumpur service starting 1 April, and twice weekly services from Phuket to New Delhi and Mumbai on 1 and 3 April respectively, says a Thai spokeswoman.
The carrier will use Airbus A320 aircraft on these new services.
Innovata schedules show that Thai Smile will be the only operator on routes from Phuket to New Delhi and Mumbai. It will compete with Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia and Qatar Airways on the Phuket-Kuala Lumpur route.
