Thai Airways International's maintenance, repair and overhaul arm Thai Technical Department has signed a four-year extension contract with Cambodia's airport operator.

The contract with Societe Concessionaire De L'Aeroport (SCA) covers aircraft maintenance services at Phnom Penh International Airport and Siem Reap International Airport.

It is an extension of a previous agreement made in 2004 for the aircraft of Asiana Airlines, China Airlines, Korean Air, and SilkAir operating at the two airports.

"This agreement will enhance our airports' services for carriers serving medium range destinations and, in the future, the prospected companies with long haul flights. Aircraft maintenance, which requires a high level of expertise, is a major driving force for the development of the kingdom's international airports," says Nicolas Deviller, CEO of SCA.
