Thales USA president and chief executive to retire

Thales USA president and chief Allan Cameron will retire in December after eight years of service with the company.

Cameron joined Thales in 2004 leading the naval business in the UK and was appointed as president and chief executive of Thales USA in 2006.

Prior to this role he served as president of General Dynamics Bath Iron Works.

Alan Pellegrini, vice-president and general manager of Thales Avionics, will succeed Cameron as president and chief executive effective the beginning of 2013.

Pellegrini has more than 20 years of combined experience in the avionics and commercial aerospace industry. He joined Thales as chief executive of the in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) organisation.

Prior to this, Pellegrini worked with Integrated Media Solutions as chief executive and has held executive level positions at Panasonic Avionics Corporation, Rockwell Collins and Hughes Electronics.

Pellegrini and his executive team will continue to lead the IFEC organisatio in the coming months.
