Thornton joins Aerolease

Jep Thornton has joined Aerolease International as a Partner.

Aerolease is in the business of purchasing and leasing commercial jet aircraft that have freight conversion applications, primarily the 757, 767-300ER and the A300-300 aircraft models.

Thornton joins from aircraft trading and leasing company Automatic LLC, which he co-founded 10 years ago. Prior to that, he was at NSJ Corporation, which was later sold to UniCapital. Between 1985 and 1989 Thornton was VP Aerospace Lending at PK Airfinance.

In the 1980s, Thornton held various airline jobs, finance, marketing at ONA, World and Flying Tiger Line and United Aviation Services.
