Tianjin Airlines has filed an application with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to operate a twice weekly Changchun-Jeju service.

The carrier plans to start the service from this month, using either Embraer 190 or Airbus A320 aircraft, the CAAC says.

China Eastern Airlines has also applied for the same route, which it plans to serve daily, starting November.

Flightglobal’s FlightMaps Analytics show that Tianjin Airlines will compete with China Southern Airlines.
