Tianjin Airlines plans to launch two new services on 1 May, using Airbus A320 aircraft.

It will operate daily Urumqi-Zhengzhou-Hangzhou and Urumqi-Kashgar services, says the carrier.

The airline will also double its Hohhot-Chifeng frequency to twice daily on 2 May. It will use Embraer 190 aircraft on the additional service.

Innovata schedules show that Tianjin Airlines will compete with China Southern Airlines and Sichuan Airlines on the Urumqi-Zhengzhou-Hangzhou route.

Kashgar is in the northwestern Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region, with Urumqi as the region's capital.
