Low-cost carrier Tiger Airways' Australian subsidiary plans to start a daily Adelaide-Brisbane service from 28 March 2010.

It will also double its frequency on the Adelaide-Melbourne route to four daily from two daily on the same day, adds the carrier.

Last week, Tiger Airways announced new services between Melbourne and Brisbane that will also commence in March 2010.

With the addition of Brisbane, the airline will serve Australia's five largest cities on 18 different routes, using a fleet of eight Airbus A320-200.

It will compete on the Adelaide-Brisbane route with Qantas Airways and its low-cost subsidiary Jetstar, and Virgin Blue, according to Innovata.
