Tiger Airways Australia plans to launch four new domestic services over the next two months.
On 27 March, the carrier will start a four times weekly Melbourne-Sunshine Coast service, which will be increased to a daily frequency in June.
It will then launch a four times weekly Sydney-Cairns service on 4 April and increase its frequency to daily in June, followed by four times weekly services from Sydney and Melbourne to Alice Springs on 9 April.
Innovata schedules show that Tiger will compete with Qantas Airways on the routes from Alice Springs to Sydney and Melbourne. It will compete with Jetstar Airways, Qantas and Virgin Australia on the Sydney-Cairns route.
