Tiger Airways Australia has resumed service on the Melbourne-Perth route.

"Perth is our fourth destination to return following the resumption of domestic services," said Vanessa Regan, the carrier's head of communications and marketing.

Tiger Airways Australia resumed operations on 12 August with a flight between Melbourne's Tullamarine airport and Sydney.

Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority suspended Tiger on 1 July owing to safety concerns, and only reinstated its air operator's certificate on 8 August.
