Tiger Airways Australia will launch a daily nonstop service from Melbourne's Tullamarine airport to Gold Coast on 31 August 2011.
The carrier said it is earmarking the reinstatement of services to a number of other popular destinations around Australia as part of the next phase of Tiger Airways Australia's development.
Tiger added that the airline has achieved on-time performance exceeding 90% for all arrivals and departures since returning to the air.
The airline will continue to fly up to five daily return services between Melbourne and Sydney and two daily return services between Melbourne and Brisbane in August.
Innovata schedules show that Virgin Australia and Jetstar Airways also service the Melbourne-Gold Coast route.
