Tigerair, formerly known as Tiger Airways, has confirmed that its Indonesian and Philippine affiliates - Mandala Airlines and Seair - will also be rebranded.

Both airlines will be rebranded to Tigerair Mandala and Tigerair Philippines respectively, says a Tigerair spokeswoman.

Tiger Airways was rebranded as Tigerair on 3 July, as the airline seeks to improve passenger connectivity through Singapore. Its subsidiary in Australia, Tiger Airways Australia, has also been rebranded to Tigerair Australia.

Images on the two airlines' Facebook pages show that they will adopt the same rounded font typography as Tigerair. This replaces the leaping tiger that used to be the main element of Tiger Airways' logo.

"We have initiated a series of changes since late last year, and this brand identity should be seen as a reinforcement of our commitment towards a better and bolder Tigerair," the group's chief executive Koay Peng Yen said in an earlier statement.
