Tokyo Narita airport passenger numbers up 8% in February

Japan's Tokyo Narita International Airport's passenger numbers for February increased by 8% year-on-year to 2.66 million.

The airport's domestic passenger numbers rose by 81% to 341,000, while its international passenger numbers grew by 2% to 2.32 million.

Total aircraft movements at the airport increased by 3% to 16,300, while domestic flight movements rose by 45% to 3,290. International aircraft movements decreased by 4% to 13,000.

Total cargo handled at the airport during the month went down by 15% to 135,000t, as loaded cargo volumes fell by 18% to 58,700t and unloaded cargo volumes decreased by 13% to 76,500t.
