Tokyo Narita airport passenger numbers up 8% in July

Tokyo Narita International airport's passenger numbers went up by 8% to 3.16 million in July compared with the same month a year ago.

The airport's domestic passenger numbers rose 55% to 440,000, while its international passenger numbers increased by 3% to 2.72 million.

Total aircraft movements at the airport rose by 9% to 19,500, while domestic aircraft movements grew by 37% to 4,180. International aircraft movements rose by 3% to 15,300.

Total cargo handled at the airport went up by 2% to 166,000t, as loaded cargo volumes grew 5% to 75,500t and unloaded cargo volumes remained unchanged at 90,500t.
