Tokyo Narita airport passenger numbers up 9% in October

Japan's Tokyo Narita International Airport's passenger numbers for October increased by 9% year on year to 2.7 million.

The airport's domestic passenger numbers more than doubled to 345,000 passengers, while its international passenger numbers grew by 2% to 2.36 million.

Total aircraft movements at the airport increased by 14% to 18,000, while domestic flight movements almost doubled to 3,540 and international aircraft movements grew by 3% to 14,400.

Total cargo handled at the airport during the month grew by 1% to 167,000, as loaded cargo volumes fell by 1% to 71,800t and unloaded cargo volumes increased by 3% to 94,800t.
