Russia’s Transaero Airlines and Virgin Atlantic have extended their 2012 codeshare agreement to include the UK airline’s Little Red domestic network.
Under the amended deal, Transaero will be able to use its code to offer Moscow-London passengers connections on Little Red services to Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Manchester.
Transaero can already place its code on Virgin services from London Heathrow airport to Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and from London Gatwick to Orlando. Virgin codeshares on Transaero’s Moscow-London flights.
Virgin had planned to start operating its own London-Moscow service and sought to secure BMI’s traffic rights on the route in 2012, but lost out to EasyJet.
