Transportation Partners announces key appointments

New aircraft leasing and advisory vehicle Transportation Partners has announced the addition of five employees.

Valerie Tay has joined as senior vice-president, finance and marketing, based in Singapore. Tay previously worked at HSH Nordbank, Citibank and Scotiabank across various asset finance positions, and will be responsible for developing the firm's links with banks and capital markets investors on a global basis.

Also joining as in-house legal counsel, is Rebecca Cox, who previously held positions with Babcock & Brown in Sydney & Singapore, as well as Freshfields and White & Case in London. She has held legal positions in aviation and project finance since 1988.

The company recruited Jefferson Ding, as business development manager, who has agreed to join from Aero Turbine Asia. Jefferson previously held engine sales, technical and fleet management roles at MTU Maintenance (Zhuhai) and Eva Airways. He brings over 25 years of experience in the MRO, engine leasing and components sectors.

Celeste Wang also agreed to join as head of administration, having worked previously with Singapore Airlines and BOC Aviation.

Transportation Partners was approved by the economic development board in Singapore earlier this year and appointed John Duffy as chief operating officer

"Our priorities in 2012 are to advise the Lion Air Group on various strategic investments in Asia Pacific, but also to close a growing pipeline of commercial, export credit and sale & leaseback deals," comments Duffy. "I am delighted that under phase one of Transportation Partners's growth, we can now call upon almost 100 years of industry experience."
