Tunisian carrier Syphax Airlines is preparing to branch into long-haul services with the delivery of an Airbus A330.

The aircraft is undergoing painting in the carrier's livery, says Syphax.

It hopes the twinjet will be delivered before June. Syphax indicates that it wants to open services from Tunis to Montreal around October-November.

Syphax also plans to serve a Chinese route and, in a second stage of expansion, operate to the USA and Brazil.

Its A330 will be configured with 278 seats including 28 in business class.
