Nordic Aviation Capital acquires ATR42-500

Nordic Aviation Capital has acquired an ATR42-500 (614) aircraft from ATR Asset Management. The 2001-vintage aircraft, equipped with PW127E engines, was previously operated by Air Tahiti.

CAO understands that the aircraft has been placed on lease to Gatari Air Service. The Indonesian carrier already operates an ATR42-500 aircraft on lease from Phoenix Aircraft Leasing.

Athens Airways leased an ATR42-300 (151) aircraft with PW120 engines from Hemus Air. The 1989-vintage ex-Aerogaviota aircraft was acquired by Hemus Air from Viaggio Air in 2007.

Avia Express leased a Fokker F50 (20214) aircraft with PW125B engines from Air Iceland. The 1991-vintage aircraft was purchased by Air Iceland in 2004. It was previously operated by Contact Air. Skyworld Aviation arranged the lease on behalf of Air Iceland.
