Turkish Airlines brings 22-aircraft RFP to market

Turkish Airlines has come to market with a request for proposal for funding covering 22 aircraft, market sources say.

The airline is looking for a combination of commercial and export credit agency financing, sources indicate.

Separately, Turkish Airlines is reportedly moving ahead with plans to order up to 15 widebody aircraft, focusing on the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-8.

The carrier intends to build a fleet of 300 aircraft by 2023 and is understood to be looking at the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 Max.
