Turkish Airlines launched its first flight to the Rwandan capital Kigali yesterday (15 May).

Outbound services are direct from Istanbul to Kigali, while the return leg includes a stopover at the Ugandan city of Entebbe.

The route will initially be operated three times per week, though Turkish says it expects to add a fourth flight in the near future.

Schedules in Innovata show that Turkish is the first airline to fly on the Istanbul-Kigali route.
