Turkish Airlines is discussing with India's Jet Airways the lease of a fourth Boeing 777-300ER, adding to the three it has already taken from the carrier.
Jet Airways wet-leased three of the type to Turkish Airlines and four to Gulf Air, although Gulf Air is not intending to retain them as previously planned.
After 1 July the 777-300ER will take a Turkish registration and will be operated by Turkish crew.
Local reports indicate that Mumbai's high court has permitted Jet Airways to dry-lease one Boeing aircraft to Turkish Airlines for 25 months.
Jet Airways needed the court's permission because the airline is still in a legal dispute with Sahara Group.
Turkish Airlines has also recently ordered five 777-300ERs for delivery between October 2010 and February 2011.
