Star Alliance carrier Turkish Airlines is to open a service to the US city of Houston next year, and has confirmed several other routes for introduction this year.
Turkish will operate to Houston four times per week with Boeing 777-300ERs. It will start flights on 1 April 2013.
According to information given to the Istanbul stock exchange, the carrier will also add Sharm El-Sheikh, Niamey, Ougadougou, Hurgada, Douala, Yaounde and Sebha to its network this year.
These destinations will be introduced as the airline expands its fleet.
Turkish Airlines' service to Houston will increase the number of US destinations on its map to five, including New York, Chicago, Washington DC and Los Angeles.
