United Arab Emirates budget carrier FlyDubai is to open a new route to the Sudanese capital Khartoum next month.
FlyDubai plans to operate daily from Dubai International to Khartoum, the longest sector so far on its fledgling network.
Services will commence on 8 November. FlyDubai says it believes the route is underserved and that Sudan has "tremendous potential for economic development".
Khartoum will bring to eight the number of FlyDubai destinations, which also include Beirut, Amman, Damascus, Aleppo, Alexandria, Djibouti and Doha.
FlyDubai has increased its fleet this month to five Boeing 737-800s.
