UAE's Starlight starts cargo flights to Libya

United Arab Emirates-based cargo operator Starlight Airlines has begun weekly flights to Benghazi in Libya.

The Sharjah-headquartered airline deploys a Boeing 747 freighter from Dubai to Benghazi once a week.

The first flight was conducted on 20 December.

Starlight Airlines specialises in freight services to Afghanistan and Iraq. It also operates routes to a range of African countries and Kazakhstan. The company operates a fleet comprising Airbus A300, Boeing 747 and 777 as well as Ilyushin 76 freighters.
