Ukraine's government has dismissed long-time Antonov chief Dmitry Kiva.

An executive order signed by prime minister Arseny Yatsenyuk frees Kiva from his duties with immediate effect.

Kiva is a 48-year veteran of the state-owned, Kiev-based manufacturer.

He has been its chief designer and director general since January 2006.

The order does not specify reasons for his dismissal.
