Taiwanese carrier Uni Air, a subsidiary of Eva Air, has received the first of 10 new ATR 72-600 aircraft from ATR.
The delivery represents the first -600 series to be handed over to an Asian carrier.
With the introduction of the ATR 72-600s during the next two years, Uni Air will progressively replace its fleet of Bombardier Dash 8 Q300s.
Tony Su, chairman of Uni Air says: "We are delighted to be further developing and upgrading our regional routes and service with such an outstanding and comfortable aircraft."
The ATR 72-600, MSN 1044, is expected to officially enter into service on 11 October, with a first commercial domestic flight from Taipei to Taidong.
