United 737 slides off taxiway in Cleveland

A United Airlines Boeing 737-700 slid off a taxiway at Cleveland Hopkins International airport today.

The aircraft had landed on runway 6L/24R and was turning onto taxiway G when it slid off the taxiway, says the airport. It was operating United flight 1639 from Fort Lauderdale to Cleveland with 103 passengers and five crew members onboard.

Chicago-based United says that there were no injuries and that all customers and crew were off the aircraft and in the terminal.

The airline did not respond to questions regarding damage to the aircraft.
