United Airlines consolidated load factor increased 4.1 percentage points to 78.7% in February compared with a year earlier.
The Chicago-based carrier reports a 6.5% to 7.5% increase in consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) for the month.
Consolidated traffic fell 3.4% and capacity decreased 8.4%.
Domestic traffic and capacity was down 4% and 7.6%, respectively, resulting in 3.2 percentage point increaase in load factor to 83.4%.
International traffic fell 3.3% and capacity slipped 9.1%, which resulted in a 4.4 percentage point increase in load factor to 74%.
February had one less day than in 2012 due to leap year.
