United passenger unit revenues up 4.5% in July

United Airlines estimates that passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased 3.5% to 4.5% in July compared to a year earlier.

Consolidated traffic fell 1.1% and capacity fell 1.8% during July, which resulted in a 0.6 percentage point increase in load factor to 87.2%.

Domestic traffic and capacity were both down 2.8% each, which resulted in a flat load factor at 88.2%.

International traffic rose 0.6% and capacity fell 1.1%, which resulted in a 1.4 percentage point increase in load factor to 87.2%.
